Account

How do I cancel my subscription?

In your dashboard, go to your organization’s settings (shortcut: go) and select Manage billing > Cancel my subscription.

Your organization’s plan will be downgraded to a free tier, and you’ll no longer be billed for BugSnag.

Can I suspend my subscription and come back later?

Yes. When you cancel your subscription, your account is downgraded to a free plan, but you will still have access to your dashboard. You can upgrade your account to a paid plan at any time.

How do I remove all my user account information?

In your dashboard, go to your user settings (shortcut: gu) and select Delete my user account.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to be removed from any organizations of which you are a member. Your user account, including your email address, will then be removed from BugSnag completely.

How do I remove my organization and all its data?

In your dashboard, go to your organization’s settings (shortcut: go) and select Delete organization.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to permanently delete your projects and error data. You and any collaborators in your organization will be unable to access your organization’s dashboard, but user accounts will remain accessible in BugSnag.

How do I add collaborators to my account?

In your dashboard, go to your settings (shortcut: gu) and select Collaborators > Add collaborators.

Enter your new collaborator’s email address in the modal. You’ll also have the option of giving them administrator access which allows them to add and remove collaborators, grant and revoke administrator access, manage projects and their permissions, manage billing, and change or delete your organization.

How do I create multiple organizations?

In your dashboard, go to your user settings (shortcut: gu) and select My account > Create new organization.

You’ll be asked for the name of the new organization you wish to create. After you click create, a new organization will be created and you can begin to add projects to it. You can switch between organizations by clicking on the user icon at the top right of the dashboard.

Can I view audit logs?

Admin users can go to your organization’s settings (shortcut: go) and select Audit logs to track the following activity in your account:

  • Creation or deletion of organizations, projects
  • Organization and project settings changes
  • Collaborator creation, access, and authentication settings changes
  • Integration changes

Audit logs are available for Enterprise plans. Contact us to learn more or add this feature to your BugSnag account.

Security

How do I enable two-factor authentication on my account?

In your dashboard, go to your user settings (shortcut: gu) and select My account > Two-factor authentication.

From there, follow the instructions in the modal to enable this security feature on your account. BugSnag’s two-factor authentication supports authentication apps like Authy and Google Authenticator which you can download to your mobile device.

What if I’ve lost my two-factor authentication device?

You can use recovery codes to recover your account if you lose access to your 2FA device. To download recovery codes, go to your user settings (shortcut: gu) and select My account > Recovery codes.

Enter your password to generate new codes. You’ll have the option to download them once they’ve been generated.

What kind of security protects my account?

BugSnag uses 256-bit SSL, the same encryption as the world’s leading banks. We also recommend turning on two-factor authentication for your account.

My organization has data security concerns. Can I run Insight Hub myself?

Of course! You can host Insight Hub On-premise on your own servers and have access to all the same great features.

Passwords

How do I change my password?

In your dashboard, go to your user settings (shortcut: gu) and select My account > Set new password.

You’ll be prompted to fill in your current password, and then your new password. We recommend not reusing passwords from other accounts and phrases and words that are too obvious.

What do I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your BugSnag password, you can reset it through the login page. Navigate to Forgot password and enter your email address. We’ll send you an email with a link to a password reset page where you can choose a new password. Once you’ve entered a new password, you’ll be able to log in to your BugSnag account.

Using SmartBear ID

What is SmartBear ID?

Insight Hub uses SmartBear ID for password login. SmartBear ID is the centralized authentication system used across SmartBear products. This will simplify cross-product access, and creates a more consistent authentication experience.

How do I login with email and password using SmartBear ID?

  • On the new login page, select Sign in with email.
  • You’ll be redirected to the SmartBear ID login screen.
  • Use your existing Insight Hub credentials (email and password) to login.
  • On your first login, you’ll be prompted to:
    • Complete missing profile information (First Name, Last Name, Company, Phone)
    • Verify your email by entering a 5-digit code sent to your email
  • Enter your 2FA code if two-factor authentication is enabled on your account.

The missing profile steps and email verification are required only once. Future logins will be seamless via SmartBear ID.

How do I log in if I use Single Sign-On (SSO)?

  • On the new login page, select Sign in with your identity provider.
  • You’ll continue logging in through your existing SSO setup — no changes required.
  • You can also configure SSO directly through SmartBear ID for your organization.

What happens if I forget my password while using new SmartBear ID login flow?

  • The Forgot password flow will now be handled through SmartBear ID.
  • You’ll receive a reset link and a 5-digit email verification code from SmartBear.
  • Once your password is reset, you’ll be able to log in as mentioned above.
